For me i think of all the greatest NY Sports heros that played in the 70s and 80s the most exciting to watch in day to day play in any sport and the most honorable was Rod Gilbert.....I will go to my grave thinking that.....thanks Rod.....i will never forget any of it.....

They do talk about Walt Frazier‘s game. Clyde in my opinion was one of the top five players I’ve ever seen in my life and in the clutch, could have been the best. If you wanted to make sure nobody was going to get a hold of the ball, you gave it to Clyde if you were up by two with eight seconds left. You had guys like the butcher and read the actually they could all hit under pressure but Walt Frazier was the guy you wanted to see dribbling. They play the one where he stole the ball but I remember the more of Albert call that’s on the Holtzmans heroes album, “ stolen, by Fraser, out of backcourt drives ahead of the field down the lane for scooping one hander that is good!!” You have to hear it with all the pauses. It’s like a beautiful song Marv called a game back then!!

Check out the 33 1/3 record album, Holtzmans heroes. It has so many of the great calls and will bring back a ton of memories to anyone listening to it. I lost the one I had somewhere. I think I had it in a storage facility that I lost with so many other memories. But if anybody has it, it would be a great thing to record and put on RUclips. I could listen to the whole album again and again.

After the news Erika Wachter was ket go, I think the Devils need to leave MSG and get a network that actually cares about the team and doesn't keep fellating the Rangers and their fans, regarding the Devils, and to some extent Islanders as an afterthought. I get it's called "MSG" and the Rangers play there and all that but it seems all they put much effort into is Rangers, Knicks and then the other teams get bumped to overflow channels, we all get bombarded with Rangers propaganda and their distance memory of Lurch hysterically holding the cup in 94. Then MSG's idiotic feed with Xfinity so half the state of NJ can't "legally" watch their own team now unless they want to pay insane prices to get the league app to follow one team. Fubo is the only streaming app that carries MSG and I'm sure that could be in jeopardy if MSG gets money grubbing again.
